The 2026 World Cup is around the corner and out of 48 national teams and I can confidently state that Spain is going to win it all. Here’s why:

Some of the best players for Spain are on my favorite team, FC Barcelona. There are seven players on FC Barcelona, including Spanish superstars Lamine Yamal, Pedri, Gavi, Fermin Lopez,Pau Cubarsi, and Dani Olmo. These are some of the best players in the world.

Spain won their only World Cup in 2010.  It won the 2024 UEFA and most of the players that scored are on FC Barcelona.

My favorite player from FC Barcelona is Lamine Yamal. He started playing for FC Barcelona youth squad in 2014 for the and in 2023 he made the main team. So far, he has scored 31 career goals and has had 41 assists.  In international duty for Spain, he has scored 6 goals and has delivered 9 assists.

Another superstar is Pedri. He has 32 goals and 30 assists, according to Transfermarkt. Dani Olmo, another great player, has scored 131 goals and 55 assists. The firepower alone from these players makes Spain hard to beat.

Despite these players having heavy club duty, I expect them to be fit and ready for the World Cup. They have boosted Spain a lot.  Spain is one of the early favorites to win the World Cup because how they have done in recent tournaments and because of the strength of the players from FC Barcelona.

FC Barcelona players make Spain a big contender to win the World Cup even though they haven’t won it in 15 years. In the 2022 World Cup Spain was knocked out by Morocco in Round 16. This was an embarrassing loss for Spain but they are ready to go further in the next World Cup.
