Prospective Trojans recently got the chance to get a close look at their new school at the Spring Expo.
The Spring Expo showcases what the school and the magnet programs school have to offer.
Each John Hopkins magnet program and after school clubs set up displays to show what new students can expect when they start sixth grade.
Clubs like Student Government presented projects and handed out information.
“Student Government impacts the students by giving them a sense of impacting the school positively,” club sponsor and history teacher Crystal Robinson-Fisher said.
Visiting fifth-graders said they were pleased with what they saw at the Spring Expo.
“I really like the journalism program and this, everything behind me is my favorite thing I’ve seen all evening,” said fifth-grader Wyatt Schneidlhutt.
Fifth-grader Callie Ng said she has an interest in developing acting skills or doing backstage production.
“The theater program has really interested me because it offers acting and performance,” she said.
