Despite a late start, yearbook pre-orders are going great so far this year with more than 60 sales.
But the staff needs help capturing memories.
Yearbook teacher Matthew Parke said the community can play a huge role in the book’s success by submitting high-quality photos through the Balfour ImageShare app.
This will help ensure more students and moments are featured in the book, which features the same theme as the school – Gem of the South, he said.
Available on both the Apple Store and Google Play, the Balfour ImageShare app easily allows students, parents, and community members to upload pictures they take at school-related events.
“Take some pictures, show JHop students having a good time show gems shining,” Mr. Parke said. “That’s what we want.”
This year’s theme gives a hint to the book’s design, he said.
“Just think about bright, sparkly gems, and how our students are going to shine within the yearbook,” Mr. Parke said.
Mr. Parke said he expects sales to ramp up in the coming weeks as the team releases new marketing campaigns, including a new ad.
Books are on sale for $35 at the Balfour JHop yearbook sales page.
