Class schedules often can be confusing, but how about lunch schedules?

School officials say a mix up with lunch schedules has been fixed after some students started the school year with two lunch periods.

After some confusion things have settled down. A lunch takes place from 11:24 to 11:54. Students in A lunch will then go to their third period class. B lunch will follow the end of third period. That time will run from 12:15 to 12:45. Students will then go to their fouth period class. C lunch happens from 1:06 to 1:36. All students go to fifth period class after C lunch.

Part of the mix up can be attributed to JHOP moving to a new seven-period day schedule, Principal Scott said.

Lucy Auld, an eighth grader, said, she’s one of the students who had both A and C lunch.

“This made me late to my ELA class and I was missing learning opportunities,” she said.

Other changes relate to lunch include the cafeteria is much fuller than last year. The atmosphere has  a more positive vibe thanks to Mr. Green creating a lunch playlist picked by the students.

Additionally, all lines are open compared to just two last year to start the year.
