Starting Feb. 4, 2022, China is hosting the Beijing Winter Olympics. But many countries, including the United States, are boycotting the Olympics.
The countries participating are the U.S., Australia, the U.K., New Zealand, Canada, Lithuania, etc., are boycotting because the citizens are unhappy with China. One, they’re unhappy about Beijing having an Olympics when COVID-19 is increasing. Also, because China is under fire due to human rights abuse accusations.
Since the Winter Olympics are still being broadcasted, Americans are convincing others to not watch the NBC broadcast.
