This is more than just a good horror movie.

The time of nightmares has begun, thankfully the baby in the backpack is facing away from the horror.

Yes, Halloween 2020 is now officially last year, but I still suggest this amazing movie.

A Babysitter’s Guide to Monster Hunting is about the secret society of babysitters, which a teen named Kelly gets somewhat forced into by her mom. Yeah, so already some of us can relate with Kelly, right? Being forced to do something for our moms…

Anyway, her mom’s boss needed a babysitter on Halloween so the boss could go to a business party. Her mom wants to be on good terms with the boss, so her mom offers her daughter to babysit. Little did she know, she’s sending her daughter on a crazy adventure.

I won’t spoil the rest, but I will say that the kid she ends up babysitting has special powers.  A Babysitter’s Guide to Monster Hunting is a scary comedy with funny monsters, but still has many jump scares.

This movie is perfect for families that have young ones roaming around. And though scare-wise this isn’t anything compared to the Ring, this movie can still keep us teens intrigued. Some of us are even able to relate to the main character Kelly, who shows many signs of having a form of social anxiety and PTSD.

Many scenes from this movie hit the heart, from feeling sad for characters because of hearing their back stories. It also has heartwarming teen love. You can find this on the great streaming app Netflix. This is such a great movie that you need to check out if you like scary: It got comedy, it got a dark twist — it got the works!
